Levitra Side Effects
There are three different erectile dysfunction giants on the market today that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The side effects of all three are pretty much exactly the same across the board. The side effects that have been noted while taking Levitra are:
- Headache about 15%
- Flushing about 11%
- Rhinitis about 9%
- Dyspepsia about 4%
- Accidental Injury about 3%
- Sinusitis about 3%
- Flu Syndrome about 3%
- Increased Creatine Kinase about 2%
- Nausea about 2%
With the exception of getting a headache it was found that patients who reduced their dose noticed that their side effects were greatly lessened. For this reason it is always recommended that you take the minimum dose that still gives you the desired results. In other words never assume that you need the biggest dose until you have attempted lower doses first. Also, never assume that a higher dose will work better because that is not the case at all. Also, over several months of use, the frequency and intensity of side effects may decrease as your body gets used to the drug.
Many have asked what they can do to lessen the side effects that accompany Levitra and the best answer for that is to always remember that less is better! More of the drug won’t necessarily work better for you, and the lower the dose, the less likely you are to experience side effects. So experiments with lower dosages until you find the optimal one for you. Use a pill cutter, available at any drugstore, makes it easy to adjust your dose. Take a 20 mg pill and divide it into fourths. Try Levitra first at 5mg. If that doesn’t work, increase to 10 mg or 20mg which is the maximum dose (Levitra).
There are other tricks to help deal with Levitra side effects. Many people find that drinking a lot of water along with the pill helps with headaches and nasal congestion. You can also experiment taking Levitra with and without food to see which works better for you. If you experience headaches, you might try taking an over-the-counter pain medication like Tylenol along with Levitra. If you take Levitra over a long period of time, side effects should lessen. Side effects with Levitra should be mild and should go away within a few hours. If side effects are more serious or last a longer time, you should contact a doctor immediately (Levitra).
